Ironwood Crossing

ic_masterplanFulton Homes takes pride in its planned communities with amenities selected to suit the home buyers. They are also set in locations close to shopping and good schools. Ironwood Crossing demonstrates that commitment to neighborhoods you will be proud to live in, with an Aquatic Center, Community Clubhouse, parks and other shared benefits that make a group of homes into a special community.

Located at Ironwood and Ocotillo in Queen Creek, twenty parks, approximately one for every 100 families, offer every homeowner a selection of ramadas, barbeques, basketball courts and shade structures. The Aquatic center has a splash pad set off from the main pool area so that small children can play in safety. The 7000 square foot pool is half covered to shade swimmers from the sun. It also includes separate restrooms and a
clubhouse with a kitchen – perfect for neighborhood or family parties.

ic_aquatics_center1The community is part of an excellent school district – the J.O. Combs Unified School District – and the Legacy Charter School offers education from grade Kindergarten to sixth grade right within Ironwood Crossing itself.

Outside amenities are also easily accessible, with a new Banner Hospital only two miles south and over one million feet of retail to provide shopping, services and dining. Ironwood Crossing was designed for affordable family living, with everything homebuyers need to make a good home for their families.

It’s no wonder that Ironwood Crossing was named the best-selling master planned community in Arizona. We invite you to visit our sales office and see the possibilities for yourself.

The Fulton Homes 7th Annual Fence Patrol

9337217_SAt Fulton Homes, there’s a strong focus on family and community, and as part of this Fulton Homes has always been a proud proponent for Water Safety in the Phoenix area. Our Two seconds is too Long campaign has helped build awareness of the risks families face with pools or other open water.

The first protection against the tragedy of children drowning is a secure pool fence. In response to that, Fulton Homes started its Fence Patrol six years ago. This summer is Fulton Homes 7th Annual Fence Patrol. Fulton Homes has teamed up with KMLE Country 108 FM radio and Ironman Pool Fence to award selected Valley families in need with a free pool fence including installation. The fences are specifically designed to meet city codes for optimum safety.

Over the last seven years, Fulton Homes Fence Patrol has helped hundreds of people equip their homes with barriers to help prevent youngsters from falling into the pool. The company also supports the Valley of the Sun YMCA, providing swimming lessons to disadvantaged youths who learn valuable life skills, including personal safety and growth, stroke development, rescue and water sports.

Interested parties in the Fulton Homes Fence Patrol have until August 7th, 2012 to nominate themselves or someone else for a pool fence, by logging on to www.kmle108.com and clicking on the Fence Patrol icon. For more information call (602) 452-1000 or go to our website and click on the “Fulton Foundation” link. And remember, a pool fence can and does save lives.

Moving Into a New Neighborhood – Meet the Neighbors

11133993_SGetting to know your neighbors helps turn your new home into part of a community. Once you move into your Fulton Home, take the time to get to know your neighbors. It may seem difficult in these days of teaching your children about “stranger danger” and other worries, but a few simple steps can make the process easier and more enjoyable for everyone.

Welcome new neighbors: While most people won’t have time to chat on move-in day, it’s nice to take a few minutes to introduce yourself to neighbors as they move in. Just a simple hello and welcome from a new neighbor makes moving day so much more pleasant.

Stop by: Visit your new neighbors in the afternoon, or walk over when they are already outside. Many people are nervous about opening their doors after dusk, like the woman in the photo. You don’t want to make your neighbors uncomfortable by your visit.

Bring a treat: Home-baked cookies, lemonade on a hot day, or warm muffins or coffee cake say welcome better than words. Returning the container gives you another opportunity to interact with your new neighbors.

Take walks: Bringing your dog on a walk through the neighborhood every day or just walking by yourself in the morning or evening will provide plenty of opportunities to get to know your neighbors. Be sure to smile and acknowledge everyone you see. The people who want to be friendly will find a way to chat with you.

Be friendly: You can’t expect to be best friends with all of your neighbors, but just getting to know them well enough for a short chat can make your community a more comfortable and pleasant place. And you never know, your future best buddy may move in next door!

Fulton Homes Noon Salute

Fulton Homes has partnered with Kool-FM to recognize our country and those who serve it by sponsoring a rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” every day at noon on the radio station. Three local high school bands showcase their performances of the anthem every month.

The school with the best performance of the three for that month receives a donation of $1,000 from Fulton Homes for their music department.

Fulton Homes is pleased to support a sense of patriotism while at the same time providing some additional funds for high school music departments across Metropolitan Phoenix. With the diminishing resources for non-academic areas such as music and art, this donation can provide much needed dollars for updating equipment and purchasing new music.

Desert Vista High School in the Tempe Union High School District was awarded this month’s top honor. For more information on the award and some examples of local high schools performing, check out this link: http://kool.cbslocal.com/fulton-homes-noon-salute/

Fulton Homes is committed to giving back to the community, and this is just one example. To learn more, visit http://www.fultonhomes.com/news/fulton-foundation

Fulton Homes and Phoenix Suns Partner for Charity

When a Phoenix Suns player hits a three-pointer, excitement is high and the crowd goes wild. But it means much more to the Phoenix Suns charities thanks to Fulton Homes. With the Fulton “Proud to own the Three-Point Zone” program, Fulton Homes will donate $100 for every three-point shot the Phoenix Suns make during any of their games this season.

Phoenix Suns charities provide grants focusing on children and young people. The areas of attention for the organization include education, health and human services, the arts and sports as well as recreation and rehabilitation.

There are 80 televised games this season and the Suns average 6.7 three-point shots per game, which means that Fulton Homes’ commitment is substantial.

“Fulton Homes is really excited to partner again with the Phoenix Suns to benefit Phoenix Suns Charities,” Doug Fulton, CEO of Fulton Homes, said. “If the Suns keep their three-point game up, we could be giving quite a bit to worthy causes.”

The “Proud to own the Three-Point Zone” program is just one of many charitable efforts by Fulton Homes. With the company based here in the Valley, Fulton is committed to being a strong community partner with organizations that make a difference.

So when you watch a Suns game this season, you’ve got more than one reason to cheer when a player makes a three-point shot, because the money donated as a result will give children in our community a better shot too.

A Fulton Neighborhood

Finding the right home can be exciting and fun. And it’s just as important to find the right neighborhood for you and your family.

Fulton Homes recognizes that, and focuses its efforts to creating each community to suit the needs of its homebuyers.

Here are a few things to consider when choosing a neighborhood as well as a home.

Location: Are you close to good schools for your children and shopping to meet your family’s needs? You may also want to drive your commute to work, so that you know how long it will take and can plan accordingly.

Amenities: Does your community offer parks, pools or other features that your family will use and enjoy? With a community pool such as the one shown above from Fulton’s Ironwood Crossing that includes a splash pad for the younger ones separated from the main pool area with a fence, children of all ages can enjoy this center. Parents can appreciate the benefits of this neighborhood pool without the cost and effort of owning one.

Neighbors: With a new home community, everyone moves in at about the same time and many people will look forward to getting to know others on their block. Consider starting a block party with pot-luck food and games for the kids to help them get comfortable with each other. This is also a great chance to find babysitters and learn more about restaurants and shops close by.

Take the time to explore your options when it comes to neighborhoods as well as houses. Look for a place that will work well for you and your family and you will feel as at home outside your front door as you do inside.
