Fulton Homes a 2016 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year

energy-star-2016Fulton Homes is proud to receive a 2016 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – New Home Builder Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Fulton Homes received this award for its continuing outstanding efforts to build energy-efficient homes.

This is the second consecutive year that Fulton Homes has received this recognition, and our accomplishment will be recognized, along with all other ENERGY STAR Partners, on April 13th in Washington D.C.

This award comes in recognition of Fulton Homes:

  • Building more than 300 ENERGY STAR certified homes, with a total of over 3,000 since joining the program in 2009.
  • Launching an educational Energy Center in one of our model homes in a 600 home-site community. Visitors can learn about ENERGY STAR and EPA’s Indoor airPlus programs.
  • Offering training for all employees through the Fulton Homes Learning Center with courses covering more than 30 construction topics, with four sections focused on ENERGY STAR.
  • Leveraging social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, and producing a 60-second radio spot featuring ENERGY STAR that was heard on all major radio stations in Phoenix.
  • Committing to building all homes as EPA Indoor airPlus qualified homes, and providing additional comprehensive health protections to homeowners while emphasizing quality control, field reviews, and interest in ENERGY STAR certified products.

If you have concerns about mold, radon, carbon monoxide and other toxic chemicals in your home, you can trust that we share your concerns and build our homes with these issues in mind. Poor indoor air quality can cause serious problems for you and your family, including eye irritation, headaches, allergies, respiratory problems such as asthma and other serious health issues.

Indoor airPLUS construction specifications are designed to help improve indoor air quality (IAQ) in new homes compared with homes built to minimum code. Energy Star is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency voluntary program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through superior energy efficiency. What does this mean for you when you buy a Fulton Energy Star Home?

First, it will save you money every month. Fulton homes are well insulated, helping to ensure that the energy used to heat and cool your home is used efficiently. Fulton adds a Lousiana Pacific Tech Shield Radiant Barrier that deflects heat away from your attic to every home – helping you save on cooling all summer long. Fulton also equips every home with a 14 SEER Carrier Air Conditioner with excellent cooling and energy efficiency. Fulton’s new Legacy community offers an even higher standard: a 16 SEER Carrier Unit. And by installing Merv 6 Return Air Filters your A/C unit will run even more smoothly.

The tight construction standards Fulton Homes practices include Foam Seal on All Exterior Doors to reduce air leakage and High-performance Vinyl Windows (minimum of .35 & .25) that also reduce the UV rays from entering your home.
